Rabbi Dovid May

Rabbi May, the son of day school principal Rabbi Yaakov May, spent his childhood growing up in several communities including New Orleans, Patchogue, and Minneapolis. After high school at Wisconsin Institute for Torah Study in Milwaukee, Rabbi May learned for many years in Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim of Queens, including three years in Eretz Yisrael. His wife Ayelet, born in Yerushalayim and then raised in Brooklyn, is a trained speech-language pathologist and teacher who taught at Bais Yaakov Academy and Yeshiva of Central Queens. In 2007, the Mays moved to Palm Beach, Florida, where Rabbi May was dean of the Judy Steinberg Hebrew Academy for five years. In 2010, they moved to Boca Raton to join the faculty of Torah Academy of Boca Raton, Rabbi May as Director of Development and Mrs. May as a teacher in the Early Childhood Center. Coupled with their co-founding of the Gardens Jewish Experience outreach program, Rabbi May has been involved with building Torah institutions in Boca Raton for over a decade. With the guidance of the roshei yeshiva of Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim and the warm reception of leading Boca Raton rabbanim, Rabbi May founded the Boca Raton Kollel in August 2019.
